Pageant will be on August 15, 2009!
The Miss Kaysville-Fruit Heights scholarship pageant will hold its annual orientation meeting on July 11, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at the Fruit Heights city building. All young women between the ages of 13 and 24 that are residents of Kaysville or Fruit Heights are invited to attend. All information needed to compete will be available at the orientation. The pageant will be held on August 15, 2008, at Davis High School’s auditorium at 7:00 p.m. Tickets cost $8 and can be purchased at Bowman’s, from a contestant, or at the door that night.
The 13 to 16 year olds will compete for the title of Miss Kaysville-Fruit Heights Outstanding Teen. Categories of competition include interview, talent, essay, evening wear, and academics. The winner will win a $250 scholarship and go on to compete at the Miss Utah’s Outstanding Teen pageant later this year. The runners up will also receive scholarships.
Young women ages 17 to 24 are eligible to compete for the title of Miss Kaysville-Fruit Heights, a preliminary to the Miss Utah and Miss America pageants. Entrants must compete in interview, talent, evening wear, swim wear, and onstage question. They must also have a platform they plan to promote through community service should they win the title. The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship and a tuition scholarship to Weber State University. Additional scholarships will be awarded to runners up.
